Nose: Very full. Notes of custard, honey and potpourri. A little truffle oil, crème caramel and walnut loaf.
Palate: Nutty, liquorice-like palate with a touch of stewed apples and pears, peat, toffee and pine resin.
Finish: Long, bittersweet sherry finish. Something vaguely herbal too, perhaps.
Overall: One of the best whiskies in the world.
