Lowland Single Malt Whisky

Lowland single malt whiskies are usually floral, elegant drams, and this light style has led them to be known as the "Lowland ladies". This is, in part, down to the custom in the area for triple-distillation, which produces a very different malt when compared to the double-distilled whiskies created elsewhere in Scotland. Single malts from the Lowlands are amongst the best in the world, from distilleries including Auchentoshan, Bladnoch and Glenkinchie.
