American Bourbon Whiskey

American bourbon whiskey is produced from a mix of different cereal grains (known officially as the mashbill) and these include malted barley, rye, corn and wheat. These are distilled before ageing in freshly charred new American white oak barrels. This produces a very spicy, sweet, flavoursome spirit which typically pertains to vanilla and "toastiness".
